FORMER BOOTS NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER JOINS PROTOMED - July 2011

Protomed, creator of the Biodose® medication management system, has appointed Ann Rose, formerly National Accounts Manager with Boots, as its new Head of Care Services.

Ann will manage Protomed's rapidly increasing roll out of the tried-and-tested Biodose monitored dosage system to care home chains and independents throughout the UK. Biodose is currently used to manage the medication of more than 40,000 people in care homes and domiciliary care nationwide. Through her role at Boots, Ann brings with her a valuable understanding of the challenges the caring community faces, plus a pharma perspective gained through many years in the industry. Protomed CEO Norman Niven commented, "We're delighted to have secured the services of such an experienced and valued professional and are looking forward to the breadth of market knowledge she will bring with her."

Commenting on her new role, Ann explained: "In my experience, standardisation and accountability are absolutely critical to care that is both efficient and responsible.
